#160163 - How to test a comport ? |
Hi Guys
I have an old PC that I want to use as a terminal for my 8051 system. I want to use COM2 Windows states that the device is working properly. But when a connect my 8051 (with the cable I use with my other PC) there is no reply (There must be a logon message at reset) Questions: Are the connections OK Is the Uart in the PC OK How to determine wich pin is wich signal. Can I use a scope or a DMM. Wich testprogram to use. All help will be greatly appreciated. Have a nice day Robert |
