Compare that with what SDCC will support, and what's likely to happen in the future, as ARM now owns KEIL.
How many of the new PIC's does KEIL support? What about the later M68HCxxx's? What about the Z80 scions? I could go on ... Nothing against KEIL, except that, now that it's owned by ARM, I doubt the support for newer 805x's will improve any, and I'd bet they've already cut their investment in support. Can you really understand what their support people are saying? The first thing on which firms try to economize is the telecom system. They go to low-bit-rate voice systems, equivalent to cellphone quality, which is much lower than what's called "toll" quality. Next, of course, they'll outsource their support to an outside firm with limited knowledge of what you ask about, and after that ... well ... It's like buying a new Dodge ... RE |
