#166235 - compass Responding to: Erik Malund's previous message |
Yes, I have looked at a number of other compass manufacturers. The compass currently being used in this application is a KVH C-100. It's way too spendy ($800 per unit in low quantities) but it has the repeatability required (0.2 degrees). The Honeywell's repeatability exceeds that of the KVH (0.1 degree TYP) and it's 1/3 the price. Even with a populated cost of $60 per board to do the conversion from SPI to a high speed pulse, it's still a bargain.....assuming I can get this problem figured out :-) |
