Any brown-out detector that isn't turned on by a fuse or similar (or always enabled) is a waste of time. It's a catch-22 if you need the processor to be running to turn on the hardware logic intended to make sure that the processor is running. I have a similar dislike for processors that requires the application to turn on the watchdog, leaving the first part of the startup code unprotected. |
