There are moments in time when these two puppies will look like they are from the same litter. One such time is during the time the reset is being held active. The SiLabs part port pins will become inputs with a weak pullup. In this mode they are very much like the bog standard 8051. In either case this condition will result in the NPN turning on and causing the "load" to also activate. Make sure to evaluate each and every case of this and make sure you have safe operation. You don't want a momentarily closed relay to start a machine or mechanism that takes off the unsuspecting user's arm.
