#166689 - data, xdata Responding to: Munish Kumar's previous message |
Ram size larger of 256 bytes are split into data segment and xdata segment. The data segment in an 8051 can not be larger than 256 bytes. Additional ram is then provided as on-chip xdata. I do not remember what the address location of that on-chip xdata is for the RD2 and if there is an enable bit for it; but I'm pretty sure you will find that in the data sheet on your own.
