By the way i tried the Filezilla's open-source FTP server and client s/w also.
Its available here http://filezilla-project.org/download.php
It connects the domain as per given ip adress/ username/passwords.
But I think I cant use it with my VB6 software.[because it uses FTP only]

I thnk i need a activex control which I can add in my VB6 program [as like the MScomm control for serial RS232 interface], and it will handle all the TCP/IP protocol.

Are there such controls? Or I am thinking something wrong direction? i searched some controls but still not sure which wil be helpful. Please suggest.
