#172180 - Caution! Read the fine print
Responding to: Grant Beattie's previous message
The one problem I've frequently encountered with such modules is that the I/O's for integrated features, e.g. IIC, Ethernet, etc. that I want to exploit are also the I/O's that I need for convenient implementation of my target function. Be sure that there are enough remaining I/O's that you don't have to sacrifice performance in order to make it work. That's been what's stopped me from using many of these boards.

The result has been that I use much larger boards, with a "tentacle" that transports essential signals from the eval board, or whatever it is, to the target. I've found in some cases that, in order to exploit a specific function, or, worse yet, two of them, I have to use two modules.

Bottom line ... ? Be sure the board will actually do exactly what you require ... and do it BEFORE you send 'em your money. If they can't tell you EXACTLY what you want to know, well, don't send 'em your money, and tell 'em why.
