Not Quite: the diodes will allow C1/C2 to charge C3/C4 - but not vice-versa. Thus they allow Vb > Va, but prevent Va > Vb. In other words, your measurements should always show Vb >= Va As Stefan says, what limits the current flowing from the mains supply on the right-hand side once the tube has "fired"...?! |
