there is an old Philips appnote which specifically is called "driving triacs with the 752?" (I am not sure about the actual derivative).

It is a complete design and can be adapted to e.g. a lpc93x in about 5 minutes. Of course, if you absolutely have to use an Arghmel chip, that is possible too, but for your app a LPC93x is far cheaper

today, you will, of course, have to find it at NXP :)
