#172476 - Still searching....
Responding to: Jez Smith's previous message
Lots of thanks to everybody!! Especially to Jan for those links.

Yes, it’s true to find some information Google could be really nice friend, but still after days of sitting in the internet not a lot come up.

We are doing some work on asynchronous systems and need exactly an asynchronous core of 80c51. So “to study this topic and come up with your own design” of such core…can’t imagine how much time It’ll take just to come up with your own design of this processor, not saying of our main project ... Anyway I’ll try to connect with those people how already have lost their time for such core and hope they’ll share their ideas)

Richard,
“ I rather hoped the O/P would answer that question”
Emmm didn’t get what’s O/P is?

Jez,
I wouldn't call this exactly “recipe for disaster”, it is not so bad. There are lots of examples of Asynchronous designs which are really nice and working properly nowadays, so there is nothing to be afraid of. All depends on your will). Agreed that there are not so many tools for it as for synchronous, but there are still some.
