#172551 - not worth it Responding to: Yash Chitalia's previous message |
1) Having programmed only the philips 8051 chips before, I am used to burning the program on the chip using Flash Magic ( which has been designed only for NXP chips). In the case of the C8051F344 which software can be used for this purpose?
the software is free from SILabs, you will need a 'dongle' also available from SILabs ($35 if I remember) 2) I'm planning to build my own development board for this chip. Any suggestions? Will the datasheet be enough for this purpose? not worth it, the devboard price includes the dongle, making the devboard practically free. If you abasolutely insist on building your own, the schematic for the devboard is on the website. NOW, be aware that the SILabs chips are 3v3 chips and you will need level conversion if your remaining circuitry requires 5V Erik |
