#172602 - Not always helpful
Responding to: Jan Waclawek's previous message
Jan Waclawek said:
... copy the others' code, if available. It is always encouraging to see a hardware starting to work, and it's faster to do it this way rather than work out of the first principle

Unfortunately, the quality of provided code varies tremendously:
* some is very good and does, indeed, save a great deal of time;
* some is utter rubbish, and will waste more of your time than if you had started from first principles!

The knack is to spot the difference early!
