#172627 - Atmel FLIP RS232 Option greyed out |
Hello everyone,
I just installed the latest version of FLIP from Atmel to program some ATmega controllers. I have a laptop with no built in serial port, but I am using a USB-serial converter cable. The problem is that I am not being able to select the RS232 communication option in FLIP. It is greyed out. So are the CAN and LPC modes. Only the USB is clickable, which I am not using. Can anyone familiar with FLIP help? The option is not enabled even after connecting the converter cable. I read the documentation but all it talks about is "Setting Up the RS232 Interface". Does it require a 'real' serial port? |
