#172632 - FLIP does not support ATmega8 Responding to: Munish Kumar's previous message |
Read the FLIP documentation.
From memory, FLIP only supports the CAN and USB variants of the AVR. Likewise it only supports the 8051 chips that have a RS232 or USB bootloader like AT89C51RD2 or AT89C5131. Most Atmel 8051 chips do NOT have a bootloader. Most Atmel AVR chips do NOT have a bootloader. Even those Atmel chips that do have a factory bootloader can destroy the bootloader by ISP. You can install a different bootloader into any Atmel chip. But only by ISP or JTAG. So you have a chicken and egg situation. David. |
