the resistor shall be as large as can be without malfunction at whatever the lowest actual 24V can be the SCR and the diode shall be capable of pulling the current the resistor allows at 480V. While very small components are not recommended the heating of the components will be brief and thus they can be reated for less than the wattage they would need to handle if the fuse did not blow. Erik PS this will prothect your thingy, but if the 24V is a battery it will explode if 480VAC is shorted to it |
