#172887 - LPC900 are 5V input tolerant
Responding to: Grant Beattie's previous message
5V input is no problem so lets talk about outputs.

drive 5V outputs
If you need to drive in to 4000 CMOS logic then perhaps you could add a 5V pull up resistor in the following operation.
a) Logic level low required - just drive the output low (there will be some current thu the pull-up)
b) Logic level low - turn the pin in to an input or Hi Z input and the 5V pull-up will sink current in to the 4000 CMOS etc.

Also some of the new LPC900 series Have Vdd up to 5V - ie the LPC9xx1 series.

Regards
Joseph
