#172989 - P89V51RD2 stopped programing via ISP!

I have an NXP P89V51RD2 in a system, which I have re-programmed via ISP many times. However, I now can't get the device to communicate with FalshMagic. I push and hold reset, click start, and release rerset as I always have done.

The device is still running user code perfectly, just cannot get the device to communicate.

Is there any way just this portion of the device can become damaged/corrupt?
