#174176 - LPC92x vs LPC92x1
Hi all

I was just getting some pricing for another batch of NXP LPC925 controllers when I saw on the website they have introduced a new variant called a LCP9251 (note the 1 on the end)

I went through the datasheet and had a look on the NXP website to find out the differences, and all I could find was the new variant has an inbuilt temperature sensor, and perhaps a clock doubler function.

the product brief states that it is pin-for-pin compatible.
http://ics.nxp.com/literatur...pc92x1.pdf

There is no comparison matrix on the NXP website for these devices.

Has anyone used these?
Are they grandfathering out the LPC925 models?
The new 9251 are less expensive than the 925 model why?
Does anyone know the differences?
Should I update my BoM to use these new devices?

Regards

Marshall
