You can buy the Intel 8048. Where would you expect to be able to do that? eBay of course. Check out this example:

Search on "Intel 8048" and you will find plenty of other auctions too. Prices vary. Do check with sellers though. I notice that some auctions for 8048 chips are showing pictures of P8035AHL parts.
