Silabs offers an IDE, but provides users a DLL to use the Keil, perhaps knowing that their IDE doesn't sport all the tools.
Again, no problem and thus far, I am pretty happy with the C8051F020 and the Dev board provided. Silabs does have "workarounds" for linking their IDE with quite a few tooslsts, but the primary link is with Keil. I personally, because of the frequent "release mismatches", use Keil for evrything but and SILabs for debug. If you have managed to link SILabs and Keil beware of updates, Keil and SILabs are frequently "out of synch". Which begs a question: "what makes the Keil "DLL requirements" change so frequently?"
