Please enter the subject as it is in the Search field of this page and you will get plenty of posts to read this whole week. And therein you will get your required scheme also and more important: the advice as to why one should not try and make a programmer at home. It only doubles your debug woes.

If you are starting fresh go ISP from day one. It is supported by FREE professional software that can run in your PC and link with a RS232 - need I say more ? No wonder that software is called FlashMagic.
