Once again, it all comes down to just how good you want it to be. What is the maximum permissible error you can accept, and where does it come from ? It comes from resistor temperature drift, amplifier drift etc. etc. If your final accuracy is 10% you have no problems, and a high impedance resistive divider off the coil will tweak the result nicely. If your final accuracy is 1%, then you will need to think very carefully about all the things mentioned above.
The serial memory is nice, because you could automatically flag when the coil "needs" recalibrating, you could monitor sensor drift over time in the field, and you can make damned sure they only use "Prahlad" brand Rogowski coils...... Steve |
