#99479 - flash charge circuit
Responding to: Russell Bull's previous message
Thanks for the schematic Russell , i should say that i enjoy using such Analog designs ,loved this one ,and good thing is i can understand the circuit's basics.

Here's a circuit from a kodak camera - this is the generic configuration of a ringing choke converter. You can't get too much simpler than this!

Can you help me what is meant by the number behind the Primary (< .1) and secondary (80 , .1) windings. if they are indicating the number of turns , so how could i wind a .1 turn ! ?. maybe they are indicating the resistance of the winding.

To the best of my knowledge an EI ferrite transformer should also be usable in this circuit instead of the laminated ones. or maytbe i should use a Iron Powder ferrite core ?.
I didn't know the Xenon lamps do have three pins ? , also i can't understand how the Shutter part is working , and there is no specification for the T2 could you explain it a little bit for me (1:2 || 1:4 || ?:? )

This needs to be filtered out in hardware and software.

Do you mean to take much samples sum and divide them ,to have a equalized result by 'Filtering in software' ?

If I'm feeling motivated, I'll see if I can sketch the circuit of my cheapy timing light

I will be thankful if you could let me see the schematic of your pickup circuit , as i said i don't have a experience in reading the rogowsky coils , so i'm a little concerned to be injected by the sparks noise which is really bad :( .

With thanks for your help
Farshid J.H.
