#103254 - sad, but true story
Responding to: Mahmood Elnasser's previous message
when I still had a full head of hair, I worked for a ~100 employee company that made one thing. TRhis thing was "protected" by a patent. One of the big guys (i will not risk being sued by stating which company) started making a similar unit in obvious violation of the patent. The company I worked for ran out of cash and had to close because of the court costs piling up.

Morale: If you do not have a gadzillion dollars to defend your rights, your patent is not worth the paper it is printed on.
