You may well be right but I did not think us Brits had that much influence in Europe ;-)

... because you ignore the existence of Europe.

Mind WE approached YOUR voltage, while you gracefully ignore it and keep your ... voltage...Line position in socket...switch direction...driving direction...whatever.

PS. I recall reading an article that one of the early Ariane rockets blasted because the french "metric" 1st stage didn't meet well enough the english "imperial" 2nd stage...
