I think if one writes into a thred "please, others don't post here", everybody will understand, no need to enforce it.
The inifinite editability might be fine, but not necessary; the blog is not edited afterwards, only new items are added just as here.
The only thing which might matter IMHO is the manipulation with pictures (which gets down to limited 8052.com homepage space; but I believe that could be sorted out individually couldn't it?)

So please don't waste your precious time to do what is already done; spend it rather on something wikish... :-)
