#112125 - That's no fun!
Responding to: Suresh R's previous message

Also, there exist no situation in the discussion than as of now,
to say iam working in a similar company.

Since 10 days we all are wildly guessing why the hell you are doing what you are doing. To test a relay for a current which is not specified for by the manufacturer makes absolutely no sense, with only one execption, that you are the manufacturer! But just that you didn't tell us.

We all the time thought that you are a newbie who wants to switch-on a lamp by a too weak reed relais, first for an own project, then for an imaginary customer's project. Then you told us, the customer has come to you only because of the reed relay, etc. etc. Suresh, the riddler...

So, first we looked for alternatives, the constant current source, the MOSFET, the NTC, the choke, the preheating and so on. But this was completely senseless and a total waste of time and energy, because there was never an alternative for the reed relay, as you are the manufacturer of reed relay, right? Then, later, nothing made sense at all, contradictions over contradictions.

Would you have told us, that you are the manufacturer of reed relay, we would have made completely different posts here! I would have posted something about statistics, error propagation, chisquare distribution, automatic testing, etc.
But you made a fool of us and led us astray.

Of course, you don't need to tell us, that you are the manufacturer of reed relay. And I don't need to waste my time...

iam new to this inrush current phenomena in my work and my purpose of this thread is to know about it by discussing with you people.

No, your purpose was never the inrush current phenomen of lamp, but only the switching current testing of reed relay, if you really are the manufacturer of reed relay, right? You don't need to understand why there's an increased inrush current, but only, can the reed relay withstand it and how to test it.

Suresh said:
my intention is only to know the different ways that could be adopted in testing a the reed switch(of particular rating that i discused with you) for its sustainability...

Yes, but it's a huge difference, whether you are the developer of lamp driving circuit or the manufacturer of reed relay. Can't you see this??

i dont want to get into arguments

Then, why have you come here?? Here, we do "get into arguments"!
