#113433 - Maybe just looking in the wrong place...
Responding to: Craig Steiner's previous message
Craig Steiner said:
Ok, so now I'm in Denver. I've traditionally bought most of my parts through Digikey, but I've found that on certain things Digikey either didn't stock the parts or charged way too much for them (or both).

That's true. Part of what you pay for is the convenience.

Case in point: A 2-row thru-hole header, somewhere in the neighborhood of 2x34. I used to get those in Mexico for something like 50 or 75 cents. At Digikey, the closest thing I find is 2x40 and it costs something like $10.18!? And they're not in stock anyway.

Maybe I'm searching completely wrong, but does anyone know where I can find things like this at a reasonable price? In the Denver-area would be great, but mail-order would be fine as long as the price is reasonable.

Finding things at Digi-Key can be annoying when you don't already have a part number in mind. I had this page bookmarked:

I think one of these (perhaps S2012-36-ND) might be what you're looking for, assuming you're looking for a .1" part. They're not as cheap as the ones you got in Mexico, but still well under $10.
