It is not exactly '51-related, but in the last years the FTDI Vinculum USB-"master"-(host)-capable chip was mentioned here several times, so maybe this might be interesting for some.
FTDI announced Vinculum II, as a successor to the Vinculum. What's the interesting thing on it is, that they finally "opened" it up: datasheet deals with the details of the innards, and they also promise a C-based development toolchain with example projects. JW |
