#185490 - centerlock
Responding to: Andy Neil's previous message
Andy Neil said:

There is a big difference between a cheap aftermarket alarm, and the central locking system actually built into the car.

Yes but the aftermarket alarm is connected to the car centerlock so that you can use it both ways.

I could intercept my neighbours code when he parks his car and I could dupplicate his code.
Simply duplicating the code would get you nowhere - the code changes every time precisely to prevent this kind of attack!

Not with the cheap alarm, dupplicating the code will work because the transmitter keeps sending the same code for each key press.
