#185915 - 89LP52
Responding to: ???'s previous message
I'm reading all your posts, Thanks for the replies!
My board is a music synthesizer with 20 VCO's, 5 VCF's so the processor be busy constantly keeping them all in tune.
Michael, Thanks for the tip on the Presto programmer- that will work perfect. But at $154 along with the time delay shipping from England, I will first try to find a DIY programmer solution.
My test board works with the 89S52 so EA (or reset polarity) is tied high. AVRstudio4 doesn't even recognize my board unless it has the S52 in it.
Andy- yes the part is AT89LP52. Always use the full part number, OK got it. And thanks very much all for the link to the AT89LP ISP Studio.
'The clue is in the name: AVRStudio; The 89S51,2 & 89LP52 are not AVRs - are they?!'
Andy that is absolutely true, they're not AVR's. Makes you wonder why AVRstudio4 lists them.
So maybe, as Jan, Erik, Per, said, it's might be a minor like changing the polarity to get it working.
I hope so.
If not maybe the AT89LP studio won't be too hard or slow to get going.
Per, No I haven't inverted the reset yet, but I'm going to tonight, I've been trying to figure out how to get a web site up all day and I'm not very good at it.
Erik. lol. Nail on the head- I hope that reset does it.
Jeckson, Flashmagic- I'll try to find that. I don't mind at all making a programmer for it, might be the fastest solution.
Jan 'While the 'LP5x do have self-programming FLASH, according to the datasheet they don't have a built-in UART-based ISP'. Hmm, sounds like it might void out the Flashmagic solution.
Thanks again guys.
Rick
