What I said was that the documentation was poorly synchronized with the softare in current release. The reason, of course, is that the code is on one version, while the doc's are lagging several, in some cases, quite many, versions behind.

It's not worse than Windows, or other OS' that are out there, as Windows, for example, simply is distributed without documentation. When there's no documentation telling you what it's supposed to do, there's really no way to blame the publisher when it doesn't do what you think it should.
