If you have a 300MHz FPGA board, the best test waveform is not to go for pure frequency, but to output something moderate like 1MHz at 50% duty cycle on one pin, and on a second pin, create a same frequency, but PWM variable width impulse, which you should be able to do in ~3ns steps.

Trigger on the 'easy' waveform, and take amplitude points on the impulse as it narrows, then try to trigger on the narrow pulse.

Check on the Logic channels as well, they should have less analog-bandwidth issues.

A good scope will glitch capture right up to the sampling limit.
