I just bought a PCI card for IO control, and it has TTL output signals for driving external ULNs. PCI card uses 74LS245 (IOH=3 mA, IOL=12 mA). They have provided an FRC cable, 2 meters long for the output of 245 (24 outputs + single ground wire). Can this chip drive through 2 meter cable? Ribbon cable has outputs in continuous lines, ie not with ground interleaved. Will there be crosstalk? (It works, but I just need to be sure before using it in my project) |
