#188238 - Last
Responding to: Oliver Sedlacek's previous message
Old gear was built to last - except that this world have always had lots of problems designing larger wet capacitors without problems with the electrolyte drying out.

Same thing with the tubes - the filament has a limited life span that you can't just get around.

But the important thing is that the old gear is designed so that you can normally repair it. You just get a bit of maintenance issues keeping the gear alive but the old quality gear can be kept alive for a huge many years.
