#188466 - None in particular ...
Responding to: Jim Granville's previous message
I've not followed their "other" parts, since what I wanted was a faster, with more memory, drop-in replacement for the old Intel parts that I used back in the very early '80's for what was then fairly sophisticated machine controls. These were on COTS boards and I've been building daughterboards and putting the Dallas parts in them for some time. A daughterboard with additional and faster memory and custom logic to fiddle with the system timing has solved quite a few expansion problems that would otherwise have required complete system redesign. I've done this with little downtime for about 20 years, though the Dallas part has only been involved since 2000 or so. ADC's and DAC's haven't been involved so much in that work.
