#188752 - Isn't it enough that he's comfortable with his beliefs?
Responding to: Joseph Hebert's previous message
Having once been married to a preacher's daughter, who was graduated from a Christian college, and having attended fundamentalist congregations for years, I have to say that peer pressure is just as great inside or outside the religious community.

I'm persuaded that just about everyone has, inherently, a feeling that, somewhere, there's something greater than oneself. How one reckons with that notion is a big part of figuring out one's world view. The literature, both classic and modern, is full of such struggles. It's all a part of "Who am I?" and "Why am I here>?" and "What's next?".

I'm not a believer in the "Good vs. Evil" struggle, as I've observed over the decades, that what's good for some is evil for others.

I hope everyone is as comfortable with his/her own beliefs as I've come to be with mine. I'm still curious, of course, but I will say that, irrespective of what the Holy Scriptures may exhort us to do, I'm not comfortable trying to persuade others that they're wrong in their beliefs, while I'm right in mine. If someone asks me, I tell 'em. but where spiritual beliefs come along, I leave others alone.
