#189169 - KISS
Responding to: Richard Erlacher's previous message
I've complained to Erik for a decade or more that he seems determined to get everyone to use what he thinks is "modern." However, since your interest in these MCU's is targeted at the DS89C430 and DS80C320, neither of which is from SiLabs, he'll continue telling you you're wrong until hell freezes over.
I have suggested a SIMPLER solution and btw have not mentioned SILabs. You, yourself suggest an ISP chip AND you suggest Dallas, while berating me for suggesting SILabs, which I did not.

I think the kettle is caling the pot blaack.

Though the DS80C320 is an old war-horse, ... once it's programmed with the code you want it to execute.

I suggest spending $ buying an ISp chip, you suggest spending $$$ on a programmer

Erik
