The system allows the potential customer to browse the catalog of products from multiple vendors, select a product, and place an order. The customer's credit card is charged and shipping instructions are automatically sent to the appropriate vendor. Working online store can be seen at http://www.8052.com/store. Features Full catalog of products from multiple vendors, including large and small product picture, description. Each product can have multiple pricing structures based on the quantity ordered. Each product can have its own shipping price structure, or multiple products can share the same shipping price schedule. The shipping structure can vary for each product based on the shipping method desired by the customer (next-day, second-day, etc.) and based on the location of the customer (same city, different state, specific country, etc.). System automatically calculates total price, including shipping and taxes, at time of order. Customer is notified of a successful order being placed and advised of an order number that can be used to check the progress of the order. Customer's credit card is charged after which the user is notified by email and the corresponding vendor is sent email instructing the vendor to ship the product to the customer. Vendor ships product to customer and enters airbill information into website which again informs the customer that the product has been shipped. This also clears the transaction for subsequent payment to the vendor. Back office features keep track of when and how much each vendor should be paid based on sales the previous month.
