Designed and built a custom single-board computer that included various components for the purpose of providing an instructional example that is fully explained in the book. Wrote a fully functional monitor program for the SBC which allows the user to view the SBC's memory, manipulate on-board hardware features, and load user programs for subsequent execution. Wrote chapters that explain each component of the SBC design as well as the monitor program. Wrote chapters that explained the features of the devices on the SBC, including an external SPI serial EEPROM, an I2C real-time clock, a 4x4 keypad, and an LCD.
